Fire at Scarborough auto wrecker goes to 4 alarms
Fire crews battle icy conditions, frozen hoses
Toronto firefighters are busy battling a four-alarm fire in Scarborough this morning.
The fire broke out at Standard Auto Wreckers on Sewells Road, nears Steeles Avenue East and Morningside, at around 1 a.m.
By 6 a.m. Monday, Sewells Road remained closed from Steeles to Old Finch Avenue.
CBC's Steven Bull was at the scene Monday morning and reported that smoke was filling the sky above the site. Also, crews were battling the blaze in -10 C weather, which was complicating firefighting efforts.
