The father and stepmother of a 15-year-old girl from Brampton, Ont., face charges of second-degree murder in her death.

Tiffany Gayle was found dead in her home on Saturday morning, with signs of trauma to her body.

Peel region police say an autopsy Monday indicated the cause of death was blunt force trauma.

Homicide investigators arrested Fedrick Gayle, 42, and Elizabeth Gayle, 43, on Tuesday.

They are scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.

Neighbours said Tiffany lived at the home with her father, her stepmother and two siblings, including an older stepsister and a younger brother.

Earlier in the day students at Fletcher Meadow Secondary School in Brampton, held a memorial for the Grade 10 student.
