A man charged with first-degree murder in a fatal Mississauga stabbing appeared in Brampton court on Monday.
Mohamed Nasr, 19, of Mississauga, was in court for a bail hearing in the Saturday stabbing death of Hamza Lamadani, 19, also of Mississauga.
Nasr turned himself in to police on Sunday afternoon.
Peel Regional Police say they received a call at about 2:12 p.m. on Saturday about an unconscious man. Officers found Lamadani with obvious signs of trauma at a residence on Harrowsmith Drive and he was rushed to hospital, where he died.
Police say an "altercation" had occurred some distance away outside on Webb Drive in Mississauga.
"It's my understanding that he didn't realize how badly he had been stabbed. He left one location and went to another location in a vehicle," Const. Rachel Gibbs of Peel Regional Police said Monday.
