Two people in their 20s are dead after a collision between two vehicles at Central Park Drive and Howden Boulevard in Brampton on Tuesday evening.

The two victims were travelling in the same vehicle: one was the driver, the other was a passenger, according to police. The victims were a 22-year-old female and a 23-year-old male, both from Mississauga, police said. Their names were not released late Tuesday.

Emergency crews were called to the scene shortly after 7:30 p.m., according to Const. Rachel Gibbs.

Officers closed the intersection, and Peel Paramedics remained at the scene for some time. They eventually transported two other patients to hospital with minor injuries.
