Eglinton Avenue reopens to traffic after morning restaurant fire
Firefighters have now brought under control a two-alarm blaze at Edo, a Japanese restaurant located at 484 Eglinton Ave. W., west of Avenue Road.
Crews were called to the scene just after 6:30 a.m. and quickly brought the fire under control.
The blaze forced the closure of Eglinton Avenue West in both directions from Heddington Avenue to Castle Knock Road before the road was reopened just after 8 a.m.
There are no injuries reported.
Toronto Fire Services say the blaze started in the basement of the restaurant.
There is no word yet on what may have caused the fire.
