Toronto homicide detectives investigating fatal Etobicoke shooting

42-year-old father of 2 was found dead in pool of blood inside residential garage

One man is dead following a fatal shooting near Kipling Ave. and The Kingsway in Toronto's west end.

Toronto police say the incident happened just before 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in Etobicoke. Authorities were called to a residence on The Kingsway following a shooting.  

Police say the victim is Alfredo Patriarca, a 42-year-old married father of two children. He was found dead inside the garage of a home by his wife and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. 

The victim's body could be seen lying in a pool of blood inside the garage of the home, according to a CBC reporter who was at the scene.

A woman was spotted sobbing as police cordoned off several houses with yellow tape. The woman was later interviewed by investigators.

It's unclear who police may be looking for at this time. The case has been handed off to homicide detectives.
