Driver injured after car explodes in Vaughan
Man in hospital with non-life theatening burns
A man suffered burns to his face and arms after his car exploded while driving in Vaughan.
Early Saturday morning around 6 a.m., the man was driving on Martingrove Road, north of Langstaff Road when his four-door black Acura when the roof of his car and the windows were blown off.
York Regional Police said that the blast could have been due to work equipment or tools stored in the vehicle. Police do not believe that the injuries are serious.
The driver is recovering in hospital.
