Toronto police have charged the 42-year-old driver of a truck that struck and killed 14 year-old Violet Liang as she walked to the first day of school on Sept. 3.

Toronto police have charged the 42-year-old driver of a truck that struck and killed 14 year-old Violet Liang as she walked to the first day of school on Sept. 3.

The driver — who police have not named — is charged with careless driving and failure to yield to a pedestrian.

Liang was killed as she walked to CW Jefferies school at the intersection of Sentinel Road and Lamberton Boulevard, near Finch Avenue West and Keele Street.
