Douglas Queen's body found in Humber Bay Park
Music teacher went missing earlier this week following incident at school
Family members of Douglas Queen this afternoon found the body of the Toronto music teacher who went missing earlier this week.
The family tells CBC News the missing man’s body was found near the water in Humber Bay Park, three days after he was last seen.
Police found his car in the park earlier in the week, after following a signal from Queen's mobile phone. The search included a boat from the police marine unit and a private helicopter, hired by the family to assist.
"The only reason we’ve been able to hold it all together is to be together," said Queen’s sister Margaret Good. "No one wants to be alone at a time like this."
His family believes an incident at the school — since resolved without his knowledge, according to Good — led him to the park to think, but offered few further details.
The Toronto District School Board declined to comment about the specifics of this case, saying only that whenever an allegation is made against a staff member they are put on home assignment until an investigation is completed.
