A look at the artistic tribute to the British pop singer

The "David Bowie is" exhibition at Toronto's Art Gallery of Ontario starts on Tuesday September 24, 2013.

The North American debut of the hit exhibition includes the cultural icon's original stage costumes, instruments, album art and music videos.

The exhibition was intensely popular in London earlier this year.

Bowie is known for dozens of pop hits throughout the 1970s and 1980s, including Space Oddity, Let's Dance, Young Americans, Heroes and Under Pressure, his duet with Queen's Freddie Mercury. He is also a producer, most famously on Iggy Pop's The Idiot album, and an actor, appearing in films like Labyrinth and Christian F.

He released his first album in 10 years earlier this year.
