Four dogs attacked and killed a dachshund in Etobicoke's Centennial Park Wednesday morning.

Toronto Animal Services (TAS) spokeswoman Tammy Robbinson told CBC News the agency received a call at around 2:20 p.m. about the attack. It happened near the park's indoor soccer field.

Robbinson said the owner of the 14-year-old dachshund informed TAS staff that the man handling the four dogs walked away from the scene. It's not known if he owns the animals.

TAS has asked Toronto police to help locate the handler of the dogs.
