Cyclist's leg, pelvis crushed after being trapped under truck

A 25-year-old female cyclist has been rushed to hospital after her leg and pelvis were crushed when she became pinned under a truck on Wednesday morning, Toronto EMS said.

A 25-year-old female cyclist has been rushed to hospital after her leg and pelvis were crushed when she became pinned under a truck on Wednesday morning, Toronto EMS said.

The woman became trapped under the wheels of the large truck just after 7:15 a.m. near the corner of Spadina Avenue and Dundas Street West.

Toronto Fire said they used air bags to help lift the vehicle off the woman.

EMS said the woman was transported in serious condition to a downtown trauma centre.

Northbound Spadina Avenue is now closed between Queen Street West to Dundas Street West for a collision investigation.
