De Baeremaeker looks for Scarborough's cutest dog at Thomson Memorial Park

In what Toronto councillor Glenn De Baeremaeker described as "a celebration of all-things dog", Scarborough's Cutest Dog contest awarded prizes for different sizes of dog, including best trick, best-dressed, dogs that most resemble their owner and dogs with the longest tails.

The event took place on Sunday at Thomson Memorial Park, Toronto's largest dog park and the only dog park with a special small dogs-only section.

Not to appear exclusive to canines, De Baeremaeker is welcoming owners of Scarborough cats, birds and fish to email him a photo by Tuesday, Oct. 15, at councillor_debaeremaeker@toronto.ca or drop off photos at the councillors’ reception desk in Scarborough Civic Centre.
