Police say a driver will likely face impaired driving charges after a car drove through a fence and smashed into a house in Newmarket early Friday.

The collision happened at about 3 a.m. on Prospect Street.

Emergency crews worked for 30 minutes to free the trapped driver, who suffered minor injuries.

The crash jolted the family awake, but no one inside the home was hurt.
