Car slams into Etobicoke home, knocks out power in neighbourhood
Man tried to flee on foot
A sports car plowed through a fence and into the side of an Etobicoke house early Monday morning, knocking out power to several homes in the neighbourhood.
The driver of the Porsche Boxter tried to flee on foot after the crash, but was quickly grabbed by police. He was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The crash caused a hydro wire to come loose, cutting power to several homes in the neighbourhood.
The house, located at Burlingame Drive and Horner Avenue, wasn't damaged -- however, the fence and car were badly damaged.
Police suspect alcohol is involved.
