Canadian Tire recalls some Christmas lights for safety reasons

Canadian Tire is recalling a specific line of indoor and outdoor Christmas light strings due to safety concerns.

'Holiday Collection' brand products supplied by Dansor Decor are affected

Canadian Tire says the recalled indoor and outdoor Christmas lights "may pose a fire and shock hazard." (CBC)

Canadian Tire is recalling a line of indoor and outdoor Christmas light strings due to safety concerns.

The "Holiday Collection" brand products are manufactured by Taizhou Hongpeng Colour Lanterns. 

In a news release, Canadian Tire said these lights "may pose a fire and shock hazard."

They include products manufactured after Spring of 2015 and sold between August 1 and November 30.

Affected customers are advised to stop using these products immediately and return them to any Canadian Tire store to get a refund.
