Banks, libraries, the LCBO and Beer stores, government offices and childcare centres are all closed as are most grocery stores and some malls.

There will be curbside garbage collection in the city, but no mail delivery.

Most tourist attractions across the city are open as is Eaton Centre, Pacific Mall and Square One.

The event starts at 5 p.m.  and will feature live music, circus performances, family activities and other entertainment. A fireworks show at 10:15 p.m., created by Circus Orange and choreographed to Canadian music, will end the evening.

  • Downtown, there will be fireworks at Ashbridges Bay starting after 9:30 p.m.
  • Canada's Wonderland will have their fireworks, which start at around 10 p.m., weather permitting.
