Woman struck, pinned by bus
Victim reportedly called for help on cellphone while underneath TTC vehicle
A woman in her 20s is recovering from a crash in Scarborough that could have been much worse.
Police tell CBC News the woman was hit by the 34 Eglinton bus on Friday afternoon, and was swept underneath the vehicle.
There were reports she was able to call for help — using her cellphone while she was pinned to the ground.
Officers closed the intersection of Eglinton Avenue East and Pharmacy Road for a couple of hours to investigate.
The woman went to hospital with only minor injuries and has since been treated, and sent home
