Brampton stabbings send 2 to hospital
Two people are in hospital after separate stabbings overnight in Brampton.
Peel Regional Police say a 19-year-old man was rushed to a trauma centre with serious injuries after being stabbed at a residence on Ashdale Road, near Steeles Avenue West and Mavis Road. The incident occurred shortly after 4 a.m.
The victim remains in hospital in stable condition.
A separate incident saw two men break into an apartment on Simmons Boulevard at about 11:15 a.m. in what police described as a home invasion-style robbery.
One person was home alone at the time and was sent to hospital with minor stab wounds.
