A house fire in Brampton claimed the life of a woman, the sole occupant in the home, on Saturday morning.
The victim, a 45-year-old woman, was rushed to hospital after emergency officials were called to a residence on Carabram Court.
She was treated for burns at Brampton Civic Hospital but did not have vital signs. She succumbed to her injuries in hospital.
The fire marshall has been notified and an investigation underway by Brampton Fire and Peel Regional Police
The fire was on the second floor.
There does not to be any criminality involved, police said.
