A 10-year-old boy suffered life-threatening injuries when he was struck by a motorist in Etobicoke on Friday night.
Toronto police said they received a call about an injured child at Martin Grove Road and Silverstone Drive at about 9 p.m.
The child was rushed to hospital.
Sgt. Art Balaga, spokesman for Toronto Police Service's 23 Division, said Saturday that the driver remained at the scene but no charges have been laid.
Toronto police traffic services is investigating.
Martin Grove Road, which was closed between Silverstone Drive and Royal Crest Road, has been reopened.
