Toronto police say a seven-year-old boy is in life-threatening condition after falling from a window in Scarborough.

The boy fell from the third-storey window of a townhouse on Glendower Circuit, near Birchmount and Finch, into the backyard.

Police say the fall was an accident.

The child's parents drove him to a nearby hospital. He was then transported by air ambulance to Sick Kids hospital in downtown Toronto, where he is receiving treatment.
