2 men injured in Annex street fight
Two men were sent to hospital overnight after a street fight in the Annex.
Police from 53 Division were called to the area of Bloor Street West and Madison Avenue just before 2 a.m. by reports of a fight involving about six people.
Two men, both in their 20s, had been slashed with a knife or similar weapon, which was not recovered, according to investigators. One was seriously injured, but neither man's injuries are considered life-threatening, according to paramedics.
It's not known how the fight started. There are several bars in the area but one officer at 53 Division said the incident appeared to have started on the street.
There was no information immediately available about the assailants. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
