Aurora, Ont., man killed after snowmobile strikes tree
The Ontario Provincial Police are probing a deadly snowmobile crash that claimed the life of a man from Aurora, Ont., Saturday night.
According to an OPP news release, a snowmobile struck a tree in the Municipality of Highlands East at approximately 6:30 p.m. last night.
The 49-year-old driver, whose name has not yet been released, was fatally injured in the crash.
Police said they believe speed and alcohol were factors in the crash, and that the driver was not wearing a helmet.
The investigation continues.
