Toronto police are appealing to drivers with dashboard cameras who were on Allen Road during Wednesday's shootout to review their footage to determine whether they captured any images of the incident.
Investigators closed the northbound lanes of the Allen at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, right as the afternoon rush hour was getting underway after receiving 911 calls about the sound of gunshots near Yorkdale Road.
Several callers reported seeing people in two cars shooting at each other as they travelled northbound.
Investigators found shell casings from two separate guns, police said Thursday.
Only one witness has spoken to police, and highway cameras failed to produce any useful information, a police spokesperson told CBC News.
