Man critically injured in 401 crash near Milton

A man has been airlifted to hospital with critical injuries after a two-vehicle collision on Highway 401.

A man has been airlifted to hospital with critical injuries after a two-vehicle collision on Highway 401.

Two eastbound lanes of the 401 are closed, near Highway 25 in Milton, after a car and transport truck collided at about 5:30 p.m. 

Two people were injured, according to Ornge.

One of them, a man believed to be about 19 years old, has been critically injured and has been airlifted to a hospital in Hamilton.

Ornge originally said the critically injured patient was female. 

The lanes were closed until about 10:30 p.m. for the investigation.
