8 people in total faces charges after man fatally stabbed in Mississauga
Peel Regional Police have arrested a man on a Canada-wide warrant for first-degree murder, as part of a homicide investigation that has led to charges against eight people.
The victim, 24-year-old Vittorio Andrew Aiello of Woodbridge, Ont., was stabbed in a Mississauga, Ont., apartment on Jan. 13. He died in hospital two days later.
On Wednesday, police issued a news release indicating that Eric Nana Kyeremateng, 23, had been arrested on a charge of first-degree murder.
He was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday morning and was due to appear in a Brampton, Ont., court later in the day.
Investigators previously announced first-degree murder charges against two Mississauga men: 19-year-old David Michael Quinn and 19-year-old Michael Boaheng. A woman, 23-year-old Vi Sandra Huong of Mississauga, faces a charge of second-degree murder.
Four other people have been charged with assisting in the aftermath of the alleged murder, including by helping Kyeremateng avoid police.
