3-vehicle collision sends 3 to hospital

Three people are in hospital and one man is in police custody after a three-vehicle collision late Thursday.

Police say alcohol a factor in crash at Weston Road and Sheppard Avenue West

Three people are in hospital and one man is in police custody after a three-vehicle collision late Thursday.

It happened just before 11 p.m. in the area of Weston Road and Sheppard Avenue West.

Police say alcohol and speed were factors. The driver of one of the vehicles is facing charges.

One of the injured suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Accident reconstruction teams are on the scene.

Weston Road is expected to be closed in both directions south of Sheppard Avenue until about 8 a.m.
