2 teens charged as police find loaded gun, cocaine and $20K
A pair of teenagers are facing charges after Toronto police seized a loaded semi-automatic handgun, $20,000 in cash and more than a half-kilogram of cocaine, during a recent investigation.
The teenagers — a 17-year-old male and a female of the same age — were arrested while police were executing a drug-related warrant in the Main Street and Gerrard Street East area.
Police say that in addition to the cash and the weapon, they seized 600 grams of cocaine, 20 grams of crack cocaine and 10 grams of marijuana.
The accused jointly face 11 drug- and firearm-related charges, including trafficking cocaine and producing crack cocaine. The two teenagers were due to appear in court yesterday.
