Two men are in custody after a man was shot at a downtown Toronto nightclub early Friday morning.

Forensic investigators were on scene at COBRA nightclub on King Street West, near the King-Spadina intersection, trying to piece together the early morning events.

It is still unclear what prompted the violence or how many people were involved.

One man was shot three times shortly after 2 a.m., say police. The victim is employed as a bouncer at the club.

The shooting happened while the club was still filled with people.

Two men were taken to a hospital.

The victim is in a hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. A second man suffered injuries to his head, but it unclear how he sustained those injuries.
