Two people have been arrested for impaired driving after a pair of early-morning crashes on Saturday, including one that caused a gas leak near Bloor and Dovercourt.

A man crashed into a tattoo shop on Dovercourt Road near Bloor Street at about 3 a.m. and struck a gas line, prompting the evacuation of several nearby buildings.

There were no reports of injuries and the driver was arrested at the scene.

Sections of Bloor and Dovercourt were closed off for several hours on Saturday morning as emergency crews worked to contain the gas leak.

The roads are now re-opened and residents have been allowed back in their buildings.

At 5 a.m., police responded to the scene a multiple-vehicle crash at Queen Street West and Dufferin caused by a vehicle driving on the wrong side of the road. The driver, who suffered minor injuries, was arrested at the scene.
