An 18-year-old Oshawa, Ont., woman is dead after a car drove into the wall of a school early Wednesday.
Durham Regional Police said just after 5 a.m. ET, a black Saturn sedan slammed into the side of Eastdale Secondary School in Oshawa, which is about 60 kilometres east of Toronto.
The woman — whose name is being withheld at the request of the family — was found dead at the scene, police said.
In a statement released Wednesday afternoon, DRP said that the driver "appeared to have intentionally crashed" the sedan.
The school, which is located on Harmony Road at Adelaide Avenue, has been closed for the day as crews determine if there has been any structural damage to the building.
