1 dead, 1 injured after Highway 11 crash
One person is dead and another has been airlifted to hospital following a single-vehicle crash in Gravenhurst, Ont., on Sunday.
Ontario Provincial Police were called to the scene at 1:55 a.m., where they found a vehicle crashed into a rock cut on the northbound side of Highway 11, at Ure Road.
The vehicle’s male passenger — identified as Michael Michalek, 31, of Midland, Ont. — was killed in the crash.
The unidentified driver suffered serious injuries in the collision and has been airlifted to a Toronto hospital.
The incident is still being investigated.
