1 charged after Toronto woman kidnapped, assaulted over 4 days
Toronto police still looking for three other suspects
Toronto police say a 36-year-old woman is facing charges in connection with a kidnapping and assault investigation, while police are still looking for three other suspects.
Police say a 33-year-old woman was held captive in two apartments in the city’s east end from Dec. 18 to 21. The victim was allegedly assaulted repeatedly over the course of four days.
The woman was apparently choked with a seatbelt as she was driven to Bluffer’s Park on Dec. 21, where she ultimately escaped.
June Wilson, 36, of Toronto has been arrested and charged with:
- Four counts of assault with a weapon.
- Aggravated assault.
- Two counts of assault.
- Forcible confinement.
- Conspiracy to commit and indictable offence.
- Overcome resistance to commission of offence.
Police are still looking for three other suspects: John Brown, 44, of Pickering; Allison Bray, 35, of Toronto; and Elanna Marki, 40, of Toronto.
