1 arrested, 1 sought in 2011 Toronto slaying
Toronto police have arrested the husband of Allan Lanteigne, a University of Toronto clerk, and are searching for another in connection with his murder.
Lanteigne, 49, was found in his apartment at 934 Ossington Avenue last March.
At the time all police would say was that the victim had suffered "obvious signs of trauma." On Friday they said they would not release the cause of death until the case comes before the courts.
Lanteigne worked as an office clerk at the University of Toronto and nights as a caterer.
His body was discovered after he failed to turn up for work.
On Friday police said they had arrested Lanteigne's husband Demitry Papasitiriou and charged him with first-degree murder.
Papasitiriou had been in Switzerland studying for a law degree.
Police say they are also looking for a second suspect, Mladen Ivezic, whom they described as a co-conspirator.
Det. Tam Bui would give few details about the investigation but said police believe it was a "domestic homicide."
