Thunder Bay police have charged a 27-year-old woman with abduction after a six-year-old girl went missing Tuesday night.
Police said the child's guardian was advised the girl had left the Lanark Crescent area with a woman familiar to people in the neighbourhood.

After speaking with a number of people, officers found the six-year-old in the area of Bay and Algoma streets in the company of the woman.
Police returned the girl — unharmed — to her guardian.
The woman was expected to appear in court on Wednesday.
