Two men escaped from a fire in a house on Thunder Bay's south side late Monday night.
Firefighters were called just after 11 p.m. when a fire broke out at 129 South Marks Street.
The fire service said the fire was in the back-porch area, and had also spread up the outside wall, melting the siding.
A man in an upstairs apartment and one in a main-floor unit managed to get out, but firefighters had to rescue two cats.
It took crews two hours to put out. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
