Employees of the TD Bank at County Fair Plaza got a surprise over the noon hour on Wednesday when a truck crashed through the bank's window, pushing desks and chairs into the lobby.

Firefighters and police responded to the crash and said the 81-year-old male driver got out unharmed.

Police said the man allegedly pulled into a parking spot in front of the bank, mistakenly hit the gas pedal instead of the brake, and drove over the cement parking barrier. The bank employees inside were able to move out of the way of the truck.

"Nobody was injured," said Brian Duychko, captain of the Junot Fire Station.

"We had to ventilate, there was some burning rubber smell in the bank that we had to clear out."

Police said there was significant damage to the building, but no charges will be laid.

In October of 2012, a car driven by an elderly woman crashed through another window at the same bank.

There were also no injuries in that accident.
