Toronto man killed on cargo ship at Port of Thunder Bay

A 40-year-old man is dead after an industrial accident in Thunder Bay's port.

Police said the man was working on a grain ship and they were called to the port just before 2 a.m. Saturday morning.

Thunder Bay Emergency Medical Services confirmed that paramedics went on board the cargo ship Tecumseh.

Police say the man was from the Greater Toronto area, but have not released his identity. 

The federal Ministry of Labour is investigating and until that is completed, police say no further information would be available.
