City police are investigating the death of a man on the city's north side Monday evening.

Thunder Bay Police said they were called, along with other emergency responders, to Blucher Avenue and Walkover Street at about 8:15 p.m. where a passerby came upon the injured man just off the intersection.

The man was taken to hospital by Superior North EMS where he was pronounced dead.

The immediate area where the man was discovered was cordoned off for further examination by police.

Police said a post mortem examination is pending.

This is the second suspicious death in Thunder Bay this week.

City police responded to a call Sunday night in the 100 block of Machar Avenue to find a deceased person in a residence.

That investigation is also continuing.
