Thunder Bay Police say they've charged a pedestrian with interfering with vehicular traffic after a car hit him on the weekend.

The collision happened near May and Cameron streets at about 7:45 p.m. on Saturday.

The pedestrian was taken to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with reportedly serious injuries.

On Monday, police said he was still in hospital, but was in fair condition.

They also confirmed the pedestrian was a 25-year-old man from Thunder Bay.

CBC News had previously reported he was a teenage boy, based on information provided by police on Sunday.
