Thunder Bay police arrest peeping suspect
Police say the accused was hiding near Centennial Park, taking pictures of sunbathing females
A man who was allegedly caught taking pictures of sunbathing females near Centennial Park will spend at least the next few days in jail.
Thunder Bay police were called after a complaint about someone hiding in the bushes by the Current River yesterday.
Police say a female made the call after she noticed the man taking pictures of her and her friend.
Detectives located a suspect matching the description given to them riding a bike on Hudson Avenue at Otto Street.
He was arrested after a short struggle with police.
The 54-year-old was remanded in custody at the district jail until next Tuesday on charges of mischief and assaulting police.
Police say they're also looking to speak with three young females who were in the area at the time the man was hiding in the bush.
After being told about the incident, they left the area before police arrived.
