Man reportedly stabbed in chest in Sandy Lake First Nation
Police say victim received medical care, is in stable condition
Nishnawbe Aski police in Sandy Lake First Nation say they're investigating a reported stabbing in the community.
According to a written release, police were called in the early morning hours on Wednesday about a stabbing. Officers found a 28-year-old man with an injury to his chest.
He is currently in stable condition and receiving medical care, police said.
Police are still investigating and no arrests have yet been made. Anyone with information is being asked to contact the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service.
Sandy Lake is about 600 kilometres northwest of Thunder Bay, Ont.
