Thunder Bay police are looking for a male suspect after an early morning gas station robbery.

Thunder Bay police are investigating after a Shell gas station on Red River Road was robbed overnight. (Nicole Ireland/CBC)

Police say at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday, the suspect went into the Shell convenience store at 807 Red River Rd.

They say he had a knife and demanded money and cigarettes. Police could not confirm how much he took. 

He left on foot and was last seen on Clarkson Street heading toward Walkover Street.

Police say the suspect is 5'8" with a slim build and brown hair.

He had a mask on his face, and was wearing a green winter jacket over a black and white bush jacket.
