Mitomics Inc. owes money to Thunder Bay hospital
The bio-tech firm Mitomics Inc. owes creditors over $20 million, according to court documents revealed Thursday.
Secured creditors include the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, as well as a number of individuals in Europe.
A lawyer for the Thunder Bay hospital noted at a hearing that Mitomics has lost over $6 million in the past three years, and asked that the court-appointed receiver to manage the company's day-to-day operations. That request was denied by a judge.
The court appointed Dodick and Associates of from Toronto as the receiver.
