Police have recovered the bodies of two missing boaters on Lost Lake, Sioux Lookout OPP said Saturday.

The two men have been identified as 30-year-old William Chisel and 19-year-old Simon Chisel, both of Frenchman's Head.

Provincial police found their bodies with the help of the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit, called to the scene after the boat capsized on the Sioux Lookout-area lake Thursday afternoon.

Police said eight people from Lac Seul First Nation were travelling between Hudson and Frenchman's Head when they encountered rough lake conditions.

After the boat capsized, six of the occupants made it to shore.

One of the boaters, 39-year-old Kevin Brisket from Frenchman's Head, was taken to hospital in critical condition. He later died.
