A 30-year-old Hamilton man missing since July 16 has been found east of Ignace.

A 30-year-old Hamilton man missing since July 16 has been found in the bush east of Ignace.

OPP officers were called late yesterday to the Gulliver River bridge on Highway 17, by Emergency Medical Services paramedics.

Police said Mark Saloio appeared to have spent several days in the bush. He was found by area residents.

Hamilton Police Service had reported Saloio missing this past Monday, but said he had not been seen or heard from since the middle of the month.

An OPP spokesperson told CBC News the man appeared to be in "not too bad shape" but he was taken to Dryden hospital to be checked out.

The investigation into what happened to him is continuing, OPP said in a news release today.

They indicated they would release further information about the case when it became available.
