Man rescued from Kam River

Thunder Bay police rescued a man from the Kaministiquia River after midnight Monday night.

Thunder Bay police rescued a man from the Kaministiquia River after midnight Monday night. 

Superior North EMS arrived first and located the 42-year-old man, who had fallen into the water at the Kaministiquia Heritage River park, located near the underpass by Donald Street.

Thunder Bay Police then arrived to assist in the rescue.

The man was taken by ambulance to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre to be treated for hypothermia.

Police report they believe the man was intoxicated at the time he fell in the water.
