A 20-year-old man will be sentenced in February after pleading guilty to a reduced charge of manslaughter and break-and-enter.

Nicholas Webber entered the plea in Thunder Bay Superior Court in connection with the 2011 death of Robert Topping.

The Crown asked Justice Doug Shaw for a sentence of 10 to 12 years, less time served.

Defence Counsel Chris Watkins asked for five to nine years, minus time served.

Justice Shaw will hand down his sentencing decision on Feb. 11.
