Man charged after head-on collision

OPP have charged a 30-year-old man under the Highway Traffic Act in an August 21 collision on Highway 17 east of Terrace Bay.

Collision near Terrace Bay August 21 sent three people to hospital

Ontario Provincial Police have charged a 30-year-old man from Barrie after investigating a head-on collision that happened near Terrace Bay just after 10 p.m. on August 21.

Police said the man was driving eastbound on Highway 17 in a construction zone when his Honda Civic collided with a westbound Mercedes sport utility vehicle.  

In a news release issued Saturday, the OPP said they have charged him with failure to share the roadway under the Highway Traffic Act.

Police said the collision sent both drivers and a passenger to hospital and closed a section of Highway 17 for about two hours.
